Artless Sprite – 156 Garfield Street – Grayton Beach
Artless Sprite is the first permanent vacation home of the Covell Family who has lived in Northwest Florida since the 1920's and has vacationed in Grayton Beach since the 1930's. Currently owned 4 sibling owners, Artless Sprite holds a unique place in the heart of this family where formative years were enjoyed with members of the Grayton family who have vacationed together, raised children and grandchildren together, and now live and work together in this laid back, one-of-a-kind old Florida beach town. The name, 'Artless Sprite', comes from a poem written by their father who dreamed it one summer night in Grayton in the 1940's. The name 'Artless Sprite' describes this family cottage perfectly - it is artless in its straightforward, unpretentious rustic atmosphere, yet fairy-like, like a sprite, with its ability to make magical memories.
Built in 1960, this 3 bedroom 2 bath rustic charmer sports 2 queen bedrooms and a very large bedroom with outside entrance, a king bed, 2 twin beds, LCD TV, Bluray DVD and dresser with mirror. The living room has a double fold out sofa bed. Open kitchen, living and dining area allow the family to gather together. LCD TV, Bluray DVD, stereo with Aux cable and wireless internet. Washer-dryer in the kitchen.
Artless Sprite possesses the most parking space in short proximity to the ever popular Red Bar, allowing up to 6 parking spots. An outside shower in a privacy stall but open to the warm Florida sunshine provides hot water after a relaxing day on the beach. Charcoal and gas grill.
You cannot beat this location for the perfect combination of close beach access, convenience to The Red Bar, plentiful parking, and affordability. It truly is the lifestyle of yesteryear - a beach house the way it was back when life was simpler!
